International Harvester Cub Cadet Model 982 Super Garden Tractor Up for auction is a used IH Cub Cadet Model 982 super garden tractor. This is a really nice tractor that would be good for a collector or someone that is in need of some serious mowing. It comes with a 60 inch heavy duty commercial mower deck with good blades that are ready to go. Overall this tractor is very nice and you will not be disappointed. It's running in all of the pictures and runs great with no problems. No smoke, stalling, knocking or other problems. It's powered by a strong 19 horse power Onan twin cylinder and twin muffler engine. The transmission is hydrostatic and has no creep at all. The deck has hydraulic lift and operates off the front PTO on the tractor. All of the tires hold air and are in nice condition. It has twin brake pedals for left and right and they both work as they should. It was repainted several years ago and it was a professional job. It does have some scratches and as you would expect for a used tractor. The pictures are clear but if you would like more pics, just ask and Ill send them to you.
The red Cub Cadets were the last of the International Harvesters and are becoming hard to find complete and in nice condition. The 982 was the king of the IH garden tractors and the new ones can't compare. IH made rear PTO's and 3 point hitches for these tractors but this one does not have those options. This has many years of life left in it. Any questions, just ask. The pictures are clear but anyone is welcome to come see the tractor and take it for a spin if you are serious about bidding. This is a no reserve auction and the tractor will sell as is to the highest bidder. I don't end auctions early so please don't ask. I can deliver within 50 miles for $1.50 per loaded mile but please ask before bidding. I can also store the tractor for a reasonable amount of time if paid in full.
